Full-Time Finance Manager

We are now accepting applications for the position of Manager, Finance. The successful candidate must possess the ability to meet short deadlines, provide quality customer service, and handle confidential information with exceptional attention to detail. The Manager, Finance reports to the Vice President of Finance and is responsible for analyzing data, bank reconciliations, account reconciliations, accounts payable, entering journal vouchers, making bank deposits, copying, and filing.



  • Monitor day-to-day accounting processes to identify opportunities for quality improvement.
  • Compiles regular financial reports (budget variance reports, general ledger updates, etc.) to support management-level decision making regarding the Club's fiscal health.
  • Work closely with outside auditors in implementing any recommended controls or procedures intended to improve Club financial recordkeeping.
  • Ensure the maintenance of accurate and timely financial records by entering, processing and reconciling transactions in accordance with established procedures and formats.
  • Implement day-to-day accounting activities, processing all financial transactions and reports through administrative systems, consistent with Club policies and procedures.
  • Develop collaborative partnerships with Club staff, consultants, auditors, vendors and service providers to establish and maintain professional links.
  • Maintains close, daily contact with Club staff (professional and volunteer) and supervisor to receive/provide information, discuss issues, explain guidelines/ instructions; instruct; and advise/counsel.
  • Maintains contact with vendors, consultants, auditors and service providers to maintain effective accounting operations, manage costs, share information and resolve problems.
  • Additional duties as assigned.



  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred.
  • Three to five years of general accounting experience, using computerized accounting systems Sage software a plus.
  • Intermediate level skills with MS Excel
  • Excellent communication skills required
  • Strong organizational skills with particular attention to detail
  • Must be a team player, a self-starter, and possess ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously
