Resource Development Coordinator

Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater St. Louis invites applications for the position of Resource Development Coordinator. Reporting to the Vice President, Resource Development, and serving as an integral member of the Resource Development team, the Coordinator will serve as an administrative assistant for the team; responsible for prospect acquisition and maintenance of the donor database; run campaign reports needed for RD operation; develop, implement tax credit strategies that result in the usage of all credits; conduct donor research; design and implement stewardship efforts for community donors. This position will be 60% support staff and 40% resource development operations.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Primary support for Vice President, Resource Development and support for other team members as needed.
  • Manage calendar for Vice President, Resource Development and set up appointments when appropriate.
  • Organize and maintain donor files.
  • Coordinate Resource Development Committee meeting schedules, meeting locations and meeting notifications; collect and distribute meeting materials.
  • With Resource Development Managers assist with printing and mailing of annual appeal letters, invitations, and other development materials.
  • Take minutes at Staff and Resource Development meetings and distribute minutes as appropriate. Document action items and related follow-up reports for staff meetings.
  • Manage donor database and resource development office filing system.
  • Conduct prospect research on donors and non-donors, event attendees, and direct mail recipients.
  • Develop and implement strategies for
    • prospect acquisition and donor database growth.
    • identifying and soliciting potential donors interested in tax credits
  • Manage tax credit program and stewardship activities.
  • Update stewardship plan for mass campaign donors.
  • In collaboration with the team send out annual and outcome reports.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university in relevant field such as journalism, communications, marketing, non-profit administration, or related field required.
  • A minimum of two years of experience with fundraising software like Raiser's Edge, Donor Perfect, or Giftworks and proficient at MS-Office Suite programs like Word, Excel, Powerpoint.
  • Excels in research and analytics
  • Demonstrated experience as an administrative assistant and/or nonprofit fundraising to advance an organization's mission and goals
  • Excellent writing, editing, and verbal skills required.
  • Strong organizational skills with particular attention to detail.
  • Must be a team player, a self-starter, and possess ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously.
